AT&T allowing iPhone mms (finally)
I have been waiting for this for a longg time! Boo Yah!
September 25th can’t come soon enough!
Augmented Reality?!
This is super cool stuff to come to mobile phones. Basically using your camera you can see things that are going on around you like twitter updates and facebook statuses. Also, it can show you restaurants that are in the general direction your pointing your phone. This is supposed to hit Android based phones first and then the iPhone later.

That was different because it interacted with your environment.

Sixth Sense
This demo — from Pattie Maes’ lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry — was the buzz of TED. It’s a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction with our environment. Imagine “Minority Report” and then some.

Slingplayer added to iTunes App Store.

slingplayer mobile
Finally Apple has decided to release the slingplayer so now iPhone/iPod touch users can watch their tv from anywhere if they have the slingbox! (Well, Anywhere with wifi). They aren’t allowing use of this app over the 3G/edge network as of now, because AT&T believes it could hinder their 3G network system. According to Modmyi.com jailbroken users can use this app over the 3G network with a Cydia app called Tricker ThreeG, which basically makes AT&T think your using Wifi when you are actually using their network.
The price is a bit steep at $29.99 on the itunes App store, but it may be worth it for some users who have a slingbox already.
Check out the slingplayer boxes here
kudos to Modmyi.com for the info and the great article
